Starmoire respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Starmoire collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information in connection with Starmoire's website, app, customer services, wardrobe storage and management services, resale services through The Shed, and related communications, tools, and operations (collectively, the Services).

This Privacy Policy applies when you visit our website, use our app, create an account, submit items to us, communicate with us, request services, enroll in a membership, list items for resale, or otherwise interact with Starmoire.

1. Information We Collect

Starmoire collects information that is reasonably necessary to operate, improve, secure, and support the Services.

A. Information you provide directly

When you create an account, contact Starmoire, request services, schedule pickups or retrievals, enroll in a membership, or otherwise interact with the Services, Starmoire may collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, delivery address, billing address, username, password, profile details, customer-service communications, and any other information you choose to provide.

B. Item and wardrobe information

When you use Starmoire for storage, closet management, or resale, Starmoire may collect and create information about your items, including photographs, item descriptions, brand and category details, condition notes, pricing information, listing history, sale status, storage location information, retrieval history, intake details, measurements, account notes, and related operational records.

C. Transaction and payment information

Starmoire may collect records relating to fees, subscriptions, invoices, payouts, retrievals, deliveries, refunds, credits, communications, and payment history. Payment card and bank information may be collected and processed by third-party payment processors rather than stored directly by Starmoire.

D. Device, usage, and technical information

Starmoire may collect technical and usage information such as IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, referring pages, feature usage, page views, timestamps, log data, cookie or similar technology data, and analytics or diagnostic information about how you interact with the Services.

E. Communications and support information

If you call, text, email, message, or otherwise communicate with Starmoire, Starmoire may collect the contents of those communications and related records, including scheduling discussions, support requests, resale questions, claims information, and feedback.

F. Information from third parties

Starmoire may receive information from service providers, payment processors, logistics partners, analytics vendors, communication tools, authentication or fraud-review vendors, and other third parties that help Starmoire operate the Services.

2. How We Use Information

Starmoire may use information to:

• provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;

• create and manage accounts;

• receive, catalog, store, photograph, transport, retrieve, and return items;

• maintain digital closets and related inventory records;

• facilitate resale listings and transactions through The Shed;

• process payments, refunds, and seller payouts;

• provide pricing support or value-estimate tools;

• communicate with users about accounts, scheduling, billing, support, legal matters, and service updates;

• provide customer support;

• personalize and improve user experience;

• monitor usage, troubleshoot issues, and analyze performance;

• prevent fraud, theft, misuse, counterfeiting, and other harmful activity;

• protect Starmoire's rights, property, systems, and users;

• comply with legal obligations; and

• enforce contracts, policies, and operational procedures.

Starmoire may also use information in aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified form for analytics, reporting, product development, planning, and similar business purposes, provided that the information does not identify you personally.

3. Photos, Item Data, and Listing Content

As part of the Services, Starmoire may photograph, describe, catalog, and digitize your items for your digital closet, storage operations, retrieval coordination, resale preparation, customer support, internal recordkeeping, and related service purposes.

If you choose to list an item for sale, Starmoire may use images, descriptions, pricing information, and other item details in resale listings and related merchandising, marketing, and promotional materials across Starmoire channels and service providers. Marketing use under this paragraph applies only to items that you choose to list for sale through the Services.

Starmoire may retain item images, descriptions, activity logs, and transaction-related records as reasonably necessary to operate the Services, complete transactions, maintain business records, support claims and insurance-related reviews, comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements.

Except as described in this Privacy Policy, otherwise authorized by you, or required to complete a transaction or comply with law, Starmoire will not publicly identify you as the owner of a listed item.

4. How We Share Information

Starmoire does not sell your personal information for money. Starmoire may share information in the following circumstances.

A. Service providers and contractors

Starmoire may share information with vendors, service providers, contractors, and professional advisors that perform services on Starmoire's behalf, including storage and logistics providers, payment processors, communications providers, software providers, analytics vendors, customer-support tools, insurers, claims administrators, legal counsel, accountants, and other business service providers. These parties may use information only as reasonably necessary to provide services to or for Starmoire, subject to contractual or legal restrictions where applicable.

B. Resale, fulfillment, and transaction partners

If you list an item for sale, item details, images, pricing, listing content, transaction records, shipping information, and related operational information may be shared with potential buyers and with marketplace, fulfillment, shipping, authentication, payment, and service partners involved in the transaction. Your personal identity will not be publicly disclosed unless you choose to include it, disclosure is necessary to complete the transaction, or disclosure is required by law.

C. Legal compliance and protection

Starmoire may disclose information if Starmoire believes in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process, governmental request, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Starmoire, users, service providers, or others.

D. Business transfers

Starmoire may disclose or transfer information in connection with an actual or proposed financing, merger, acquisition, investment, asset sale, bankruptcy, restructuring, or similar business transaction, subject to customary confidentiality measures where appropriate.

E. With your direction or consent

Starmoire may share information in other circumstances at your direction or with your consent.

Mobile opt-in data and consent for SMS communications will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

Starmoire and its service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, SDKs, log files, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, measure traffic and engagement, analyze performance, troubleshoot issues, support security, and improve the user experience.

You may be able to control certain cookies or similar technologies through your browser or device settings. Please note that disabling some technologies may affect the functionality of the Services.

6. Marketing and Communications Choices

You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message. You may opt out of SMS messages where available by replying STOP or by contacting hello@starmoire.com. Even if you opt out of promotional communications, Starmoire may still send transactional, service-related, billing, security, account, or legal notices.

7. Access, Updates, and Deletion Requests

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain account information by contacting Starmoire.

Deletion requests are subject to ongoing transactions, storage obligations, unresolved claims, fraud-prevention needs, legal obligations, tax and accounting recordkeeping, and records that Starmoire reasonably needs to retain to provide the Services, complete transactions, support insurance or claims handling, enforce agreements, or comply with law.

8. Data Retention

Starmoire retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain and support accounts, manage stored items, complete transactions, support resale activity, investigate incidents, handle claims, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or misuse, and enforce agreements.

If you close your account or request deletion, Starmoire may delete, anonymize, or de-identify certain information, but Starmoire may retain records after account closure where reasonably necessary for business, legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, insurance, claims, dispute-resolution, or compliance purposes.

9. Security

Starmoire uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These safeguards may include access controls, secure storage practices, credential protections, vendor management practices, and other operational security measures appropriate to Starmoire's business.

No method of electronic transmission, storage, or processing is completely secure. As a result, Starmoire cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. U.S. Processing and New York Operations

Starmoire is based in the United States and currently expects its pilot operations to be managed primarily from New York. Information may be stored and processed in the United States and in other jurisdictions where Starmoire or its service providers operate.

11. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to individuals under eighteen, and Starmoire does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Starmoire, please contact us so that Starmoire can take appropriate steps.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Because Starmoire is operating in a pilot stage, its products, operations, and data practices may evolve. Starmoire may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect those changes or to address legal, operational, or business developments.

If Starmoire makes material changes, Starmoire will provide notice in a manner it considers reasonably appropriate under the circumstances, such as by posting an updated policy, updating the effective date, sending an email, or providing in-app notice.
